Privacy Policy

ORBIT UPLINK is a daily geography game on the web at orbituplink.com and in the ORBIT Uplink iPhone app. It is operated by 1F2T LLC and made by ByteTalk.ai (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we handle when you play, and why.

Information we collect

• Game information. Your callsign, your missions and results, streaks, and your game settings.
• Account information, if you choose to sign in. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic account details from them, such as your name, email address and an account identifier. Signing in is optional.
• Technical information. Basic information that comes with using any website or app, such as device and browser type, IP address, and how a mission is played. We use it to keep the game working, secure and fair.

Some information, such as your preferences and reminder times, is kept only on your device. Reminders are scheduled by your device.

How we use it

• To run the game: save your progress, calculate scores and show leaderboards.
• To let you use the same profile on the web and on your iPhone when you sign in.
• To keep the game fair and secure, including preventing cheating and abuse.
• To maintain and improve the game, and to answer you when you contact us.

What other players can see

Your callsign, results and game statistics can appear on public leaderboards, player profiles and results you share. Your name, email address and sign-in details are never shown to other players.

Sharing

We do not sell your information, show ads, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites. We share information only with service providers that help us run the game (such as hosting and data storage), with Google or Apple when you choose to sign in with them, or when the law requires it.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information for as long as your profile exists. You can delete your profile and its game history at any time: in the iPhone app, go to Operator, then Settings, then Delete my data; on the website, use the delete option in Settings. You can also email us. Some technical information is kept only for a short time to keep the game secure.

Your choices and rights

Playing without signing in, reminders and sounds are all up to you. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your information, or to object to how it is used. To make a request, email support@bytetalk.ai.

Children

ORBIT UPLINK is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time, and will change the date at the top when we do.
